General terms and conditions of sale

1. Preliminary provisions

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “T&Cs”) govern all mountain guiding and accompanying services (hereinafter the “Services”) provided by Ski Explorer.

The Services are described on the website www.ski-explorer.com.

Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs, notwithstanding any contrary provision.

3. Services offered

Ski Explorer offers in particular:

  • Premium week-long freeride and off-piste stays;

  • Flexible formats (full day, extended morning, half day);

  • Tailor-made guiding in small private groups (3 to 5 guests);

  • Restaurant reservations and additional concierge-style services;

  • Provision of safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, airbag backpack).

All activities are supervised by qualified and experienced professionals.

4. Participation conditions / Safety

4.1 Guiding

Ski Explorer reserves the right to adjust group composition depending on safety conditions and the participants’ skills.

4.2 Equipment

Guests must come with appropriate equipment (skis, technical clothing, lift passes).
Helmet use is strongly recommended and may be made mandatory depending on conditions.

4.3 Safety

Participants agree to follow the instructions given by the guide.
Anyone under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances may be excluded with no refund.

4.4 Delays

In case of delay, the Service ends at the scheduled time with no extension or refund.

5. Booking

Bookings may be made:

A booking becomes final once full payment is received.
A written confirmation indicating the booked Service details will be sent by email.

6. Prices

Prices are expressed in euros, including all applicable taxes.

Included:

  • Professional mountain guide,

  • Safety equipment.

Not included:

  • Lift passes,

  • Ski or snowboard equipment,

  • Personal insurance (strongly recommended).

7. Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

Accepted payment methods: credit card.

8. Liability – Insurance

Ski Explorer implements all necessary safety measures.
However, skiing and off-piste activities involve inherent mountain risks.

Each participant remains responsible for their own behaviour and equipment.
Guests are strongly advised to purchase insurance covering accidents, rescue and repatriation.

9. No withdrawal right

Pursuant to Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, leisure services provided at a specific date are not subject to the right of withdrawal.

10. Cancellation

10.1 Cancellation by Ski Explorer

In cases of force majeure (dangerous weather, resort closure, instructor accident, etc.), Ski Explorer may cancel a booking.
In this event, a postponement or refund will be offered, with no additional compensation.

10.2 Cancellation by the participant

  • More than 7 days before the activity: full refund.

  • Less than 7 days before the activity: no refund.

11. Force majeure

In the event of unforeseeable and unavoidable circumstances (weather, avalanche risk, unexpected closures), Ski Explorer’s obligations are suspended.

12. Personal data

Ski Explorer collects customer data (name, email, phone, etc.) to manage bookings.
Data is not shared with third parties without consent.

13. Intellectual property

All content on www.ski-explorer.com (texts, photos, videos) is protected by intellectual property law.
Any reproduction without authorization is prohibited.

14. Complaints and disputes

Any complaint must be sent in writing to the address indicated above.

In the event of a dispute, the customer may contact the French Tourism and Travel Mediator free of charge (www.mtv.travel).
If no amicable agreement is reached, the matter will be submitted to the competent French courts.
